Elo: Meal Planner ("Elo," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by DH Creations Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Elo mobile application and related services.

Depending on how you use Elo, we may collect the following information:

Account and contact information

We may collect your name, email address, account identifier, and other information needed to create, secure, and manage your account.

Meal-planning information

We may collect information you provide about your household, food preferences, disliked foods, preferred cuisines, cooking schedule, available cooking time, dietary preferences, and other instructions you give Elo.

Health and dietary information

To personalize meal recommendations and help avoid unsuitable foods, Elo may collect information you voluntarily provide about allergies, intolerances, diabetes, health conditions, dietary restrictions, and nutrition-related goals.

Elo is not a medical service, and its recommendations are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Voice and user content

When you use Elo's voice features, your microphone audio may be transmitted to our service providers to recognize your speech, understand your request, and generate a response.

We do not use voice data for advertising or tracking. Raw audio may be processed temporarily to provide the requested feature. Our voice and artificial-intelligence service providers may process information according to their applicable privacy and retention practices.

We may also process and store conversation transcripts, meal-planning instructions, preferences, feedback, and other content you provide so that Elo can generate and maintain personalized meal plans.

Purchase information

When you purchase a subscription, Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your complete payment-card or banking information. We may receive and store information about your subscription status, purchase history, product purchased, expiration date, and transaction identifier to unlock paid features and manage your subscription.

App activity and technical information

Elo and its service providers may collect limited technical and usage information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. This may include device or account identifiers, app version, operating system, feature interactions, diagnostic information, and subscription events.

We do not use this information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

We may use collected information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage your account;
• Address you by name and personalize your experience;
• Generate personalized meal plans, recipes, and grocery lists;
• Account for allergies, dietary restrictions, and other user-provided needs;
• Process voice requests and provide conversational features;
• Save your preferences and meal-planning history;
• Verify subscriptions and provide paid features;
• Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of Elo;
• Diagnose technical problems and improve our features;

We do not sell your personal information or use your health information, voice data, or meal-planning information for targeted advertising.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Elo, including providers of:

• Cloud hosting, databases, and authentication;
• Artificial intelligence, speech recognition, and voice generation;
• Subscription management and purchase verification;
• App analytics, diagnostics, security, and customer support.

These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their agreements, privacy policies, and applicable law.

Apple separately processes App Store purchases and certain device or store information under Apple's own privacy policies.

We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary to provide Elo, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Account information, saved preferences, health and dietary information, meal plans, and conversation content may remain associated with your account until you delete the information, request account deletion, or retention is no longer necessary.

Retention periods used by third-party providers may differ according to their respective policies and configurations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Request deletion of your account and associated information;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• Request information about how your data is used or disclosed;
• Submit a complaint to an applicable privacy authority.

You may request account or data deletion through Elo's available account controls or by contacting us at the email address below. We may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.

Elo is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children below the applicable age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Elo and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. These countries may have privacy laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
